The Dashboard is your home base in Tapioca. It provides a personalized overview of your work, upcoming tasks, time tracking status, and team activity.
Overview
When you log in to Tapioca, the Dashboard is the first thing you see. It’s designed to answer the key questions:
- What should I work on today?
- How much time have I tracked?
- What’s happening across my projects?

Dashboard Widgets
The Dashboard is composed of customizable widgets that you can arrange to suit your workflow.
My Tasks Widget
Shows tasks assigned to you, organized by priority and due date.

Features:
- Today’s Tasks - Tasks due today or overdue
- This Week - Upcoming tasks for the week
- Quick Actions - Start timer, mark complete, or snooze directly from the widget
Quick Start Timer
Time Summary Widget
Displays your time tracking statistics for the current period.

Metrics shown:
- Today - Hours logged today vs. your daily target
- This Week - Weekly progress with daily breakdown
- Active Timer - Current running timer with task details
Recent Activity Widget
Shows recent activity across your projects and team.

Activity types:
- Task status changes
- Comments and mentions
- Time entries
- Sprint updates
Project Progress Widget
Visual overview of your active projects.

Customizing Your Dashboard
You can personalize your Dashboard to show the information most relevant to you.
Rearranging Widgets
Enter Edit Mode
Click the 'Customize' button in the top-right corner of the Dashboard
Drag and Drop
Click and drag widgets to rearrange their position
Resize Widgets
Drag the corners of widgets to make them larger or smaller
Save Changes
Click 'Done' to save your layout

Adding and Removing Widgets
- Click Customize to enter edit mode
- Click the + button to see available widgets
- Select a widget to add it to your Dashboard
- Click the × on any widget to remove it
Widget Library
Saving Multiple Layouts
You can save different Dashboard layouts for different contexts:
- Daily Work - Focus on tasks and time tracking
- Manager View - Team activity and project progress
- Sprint Review - Sprint metrics and burndown
To save a layout:
- Customize your Dashboard
- Click Save Layout As…
- Give your layout a name
- Switch between layouts using the dropdown
Dashboard Settings
Access Dashboard settings by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Time Period Settings
Choose the default time period for widgets:
- Today - Current day focus
- This Week - Weekly overview (default)
- This Month - Monthly summary
Notification Preferences
Control which notifications appear on your Dashboard:
- Task assignments
- Mentions and comments
- Due date reminders
- Sprint updates
Data Refresh
By default, Dashboard data refreshes automatically every 30 seconds. You can:
- Manual refresh - Click the refresh button
- Pause auto-refresh - For focused work
- Change interval - In settings (15s, 30s, 1min, 5min)

Troubleshooting
Dashboard Loading Slowly
If your Dashboard takes a long time to load:
- Reduce widgets - Remove widgets you don’t use
- Check filters - Broad filters load more data
- Clear cache - Settings → Clear Cache
- Check connection - Ensure stable internet
Missing Data
If widgets show “No data available”:
- Check permissions - You may not have access to certain projects
- Verify filters - Date range or project filters may be too restrictive
- Refresh data - Click the refresh button
